PLAST DESSICANT
PLAST DESSICANT -MB 101 PE is used to induce & sustain a state of dryness in its vicinity of Plastic substrate by absorbing moisture prevailing in raw material, filler, pigments and other sources. Most of the blown film extruded films often encounter defects such as fish eyes, dot problems , gassing, poor strength, bubble puncture, etc. Also Injection moulded components are found with silver streaks due to moisture.

A desiccant is a hygroscopic substance that is used to induce
or sustain a state of dryness (desiccation) in its vicinity.
Commonly used desiccants are solids that absorb water. Most
prominently plastics films made with HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE and

other variety of Resins & additives in combination are found to have quality defects such as Fish eyes, dot problems , gassing, poor strength, bubble puncture are raised by moisture in Plastic film which could be solved through adding Dessicant Masterbatch. It is widely used for recycling Carry Bag,Tarpaulins, Agricultural Films & Multilayer films for Consumer and Industrial packaging.
Moisture in Plastic items can come through different types of raw
materials, such as hygroscopic polymers, mineral fillers or
pigments. Generally, recycled polymers often contain high levels of moisture. Several problems can occur when processing plastic materials with excess moisture such as
1. Degradation of the polymere
leading to a decrease in molecular weight, increased fluidity and decreased viscosity. Corrosion of the metal parts inside the extruder, shortening its shelf life.2. Defects in the final product.
These defects can be both visual (fish eyes, puffs, holes, etc.) and/or functional (affectation of mechanical properties, variation in density, etc.). Desiccant MB reacts with the water molecules present in the polymer, binding them to its structure and then reduces or removes moisture immediately.
Key advantages of Bajaj Plast Dessicant
It’s an ideal solution for moisture removal / reduction without stopping the production process.
Maintains the mechanical properties of the manufactured plastic items.
Improves the surface properties of the manufactured article by eliminating streaks, fish eyes, density differences , holes, etc.
During recycling of polymers, it eliminates pre-drying processes as the moisture removal is done at zero cost: there is no energy consumption and no need to invest in drying machinery.
More efficient reuse of production waste.
